Delete pages from a PDF

Remove pages you do not want to keep — blank sheets from a scanner, an internal cover page, or a section that should not be shared. The remaining pages keep their original quality and the file is rebuilt on your device.

Where your file goes

Nowhere. This tool runs inside your browser, and the page is served with a policy that forbids it from sending your document anywhere. You can confirm that yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, watch the Network tab, and process a file.

Questions

Can I recover a page after deleting it?
Not from the downloaded file — but your original PDF is never modified, so you can always start again from it.
Is deleting a page the same as redacting it?
No, and the difference matters. Deleting removes the whole page. Redaction removes specific content from a page that is otherwise kept. If you need to hide text while keeping the page, wait for the dedicated Redact tool rather than covering it with a shape.
Will the page numbering update automatically?
The PDF page order updates, but numbers printed onto the page as part of its content will not change. Use Add Page Numbers afterwards if you need the printed numbering to match.
How do I remove a range of pages?
Type it, for example 5-12, or click the pages in the grid. Both routes drive the same selection, and the tool tells you how many pages will remain before you commit.
Does removing pages make the file smaller?
Usually, and sometimes dramatically if the pages you removed held large images. Resources shared with the pages you kept stay in the file, so the saving is rarely proportional to the number of pages removed.
How do I get rid of blank pages from a scanner?
Look through the page grid and click each blank one. Scanner blanks are often not perfectly white, so they are easier to spot visually than by file size.
Will removing pages break bookmarks or links?
Bookmarks and links pointing at pages you kept are preserved and renumbered. Ones that pointed at a removed page are dropped, because their destination no longer exists.
Can I remove every page?
No. A PDF must contain at least one page, so the tool stops you before you get there and tells you how many pages would be left.
